The high DC voltage outut Airdolphin GTO (Grid-Tie Optimized) is rated at 1.1 kW at 12.5 m/s or 28 mph, with peak output reaching 4 kW at 20 m/s or 45 mph... The Airdolphin GTO connects to the utility grid via PV grid-tie inverters.... Supported by it's unique Intelligent Power Management System, the unit maintains seamless operation from cut-in wind speeds of just 2.5 m/s or 5.6 mph to extremely windy conditions... Weighing less than 19.5 kg or 42.9 lbs, and a rotor diameter of only 1.8 m or 6 inches, the Airdolphin GTO is the most efficient and easily installed small wind turbine in it's class... Zephyr's Airdolphin Series are engineered and tested for reliability under every condition, providing years of maintenance-free operation...

The RM-1000 Remote Monitor is a multifunctional remote control unit developed exclusively for Zephyr's wind turbines... With the RM-1000, you can check output power (instantaneous generated ouput) as well as the total power generation (daily/monthly/total) and the amount of CO2 reduction, with the data being accumulated... This function is essential when data submission is required... The unit also comes with the data logger feature by an MMC (MultiMedia card), allowing data collection without computers... The collected data can be downloaded via the MMC and easily managed on a PC... Analog output is also available for viewing real-time wind conditions... The power output can be changed according to Airdolphin's rotations , so for example, you can sync the water flow of a fountain to the speed of the wind turbine, or control lightings - an ideal feature for live events or environmental educations... The RM-1000 upgrades Airdolphin to a more easy-to-use, high level system...

The blades of each Airdolphin are created with Zephyr's patented SD blade technology (noise reduction ridges)... Their designers were inspired by the feather patterns of owl wings, which allow owls to fly in silence... This technology applies a series of thin ridges to the surface of each blade, creating micro vortices to keep the airflow attached to the airfoil longer than conventional blades, thus reducing decibel count....

By realizing constant blade rotation speed, operation of the wind turbine has been made much more silent and secure... Their original and patented technology maintains uniform rotor spinning speeds while encountering turbulent gusts found in cities or raging winds at remote locations... These attributes are crucial for small wind turbines because they are often installed in cities where turbulence is caused by tall buildings... The 4000-US comes with a DC disconnect and a 4-circuit integrated fused series string combiner that can be used with fuses up to 20 amps... The inverter is shiped with 15 amp fuses...
